Jewelry Design
2023 - 2026
As a designer, I have always been drawn to jewelry as a form of functional beauty: objects that are at once intimate, sculptural, and deeply personal. I am fascinated by the weight of jewelry, both physical and emotional, and by the way a small object can hold such profound significance. Throughout history, jewelry has served as a vessel for memory, identity, status, love, and ritual, carrying meanings that extend far beyond its material form. I am drawn to this tension between the tangible and the intangible, between an object’s physical presence and the emotional resonance it accumulates over time. To me, jewelry exists at the intersection of design and feeling, where material becomes memory and beauty becomes something deeply human.
My foundation at the bench, designing and fabricating custom jewelry for individual clients, continues to inform my approach to digital design, grounding my work in an understanding of material, craftsmanship, and the intimate relationship between an object and its wearer.
My experience as a Junior Designer at Hegeman & Co., a production facility for Tiffany & Co. located in Providence, Rhode Island’s historic jewelry district, deepened my proficiency in digital jewelry design. Working with MatrixGold and Rhino 3D, I developed my skills in 3D modeling, rendering, and stone setting for 3D printing and casting, translating complex design concepts into precise, production-ready pieces while bridging the gap between digital visualization and physical craftsmanship.
