BONE SET

Made in 2024

Designed for movement, imagination, and growth.

This project explores biomimicry resulting in a cohesive desk set consisting of a pen holder, letter opener, and tape dispenser. Drawing inspiration from a dog’s pelvic bone found in the RISD Nature Lab, I studied its natural curves, strength, and texture to inform each object’s sculptural geometry. The resulting forms merge organic structure with utility, transforming an anatomical reference into elegant, functional tools for the workspace.

Using rapid prototyping, iterative design, and experimental processes to develop the final forms. My final process involved sewing fabric molds from canvas and pouring plaster into them, resulting in organic, texture-rich objects.
